Janet Bell
Solicitor

Janet graduated from Leeds University in 1978 and was admitted as a Solicitor in October 1982. Since then she has continued to practise law in Ryde, Shanklin and Newport Isle of Wight, (having taken time off work in the 1990s to raise a family). Since 1984 Janet has specialised in family law.

Janet is a member of the Law Society’s Family Panel and an Accredited Specialist with Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association), specialising in Ancillary relief (financial cases) and Children Act private cases (contact and residence disputes).

As a member of Resolution her emphasis is to resolve disputes in a non-confrontational and constructive way designed to preserve people’s dignity and to encourage agreement.
